🧡 Christmas in August?

Updated: 3 days ago

We know it feels early to talk about Christmas, but we have a deadline to meet. To take part in this year’s Big Give match-funding campaign, we need to collect £10,000 in pledges by 5pm on Friday 29 August.

These pledges are not donations yet. They are simply promises to give £100 or more at Christmas. You do not pay anything now.

Why does it matter?

The amount we raise in pledges now decides how much match funding we might receive later. If we secure £10,000 in pledges this month, we could unlock up to £40,000 in December to support our clubs, circles and one to one help through 2026.

This includes:

  • Keeping weekly clubs running with food, music and movement

  • Welcoming new members and volunteers

  • Growing our support circles like Finding Myself and Sons and Daughters

  • Offering personal support through the concierge team when life feels hard to manage

We want to make sure we can say yes to everyone who needs us.

You can help by making a pledge, or by asking someone who knows how much Good Company means to you.

Do you know a local business, a friend or family member who could make a pledge of £100 or more?

👉 PLEDGE £100 or more now Or speak to your club lead, your concierge, or email kirsty@thegoodcompanypeople.org for help. If you prefer you can print the form below and hand it to a concierge or club lead:

We will be inviting pledges at all clubs and events this August, including the cricket (will you be there?). Every single one helps.

Thank you for helping us keep Good Company going strong.

The Big Give is a national fundraising campaign where, for one week in December, donations can be doubled. That means if someone gives £50, it could become £100 - helping us raise more without asking people to give more.

If you make a pledge now, you will not pay anything until after 9 December, and payment will need to be made before 6 January.
