Good Company is growing, and as the new year begins we are looking for people who care about community, connection and helping others feel supported as they grow older.

Based in and around Crowborough and the High Weald in East Sussex, The Good Company People supports older adults, carers and people living with dementia through friendly clubs, early one to one support, Circles and, soon, a welcoming local HQ. Everything we do is rooted in real life, familiar places and human connection.

Current job opportunities

We are currently recruiting for three roles to join our small, committed team. Applications for all roles close on Monday 12 January.


Community Engagement Lead

A warm, friendly role focused on helping more older adults and carers discover Good Company. You will build relationships across the local community, share stories, attend events and help people feel welcome and included.


Community Fundraising Lead

A people focused role bringing the community together to raise funds in joyful, accessible ways. From coffee mornings and quiz nights to local partnerships, you will support volunteers and help ideas grow.


Member Lead

Based at our Crowborough HQ, this role supports day to day engagement with members and carers. You will work closely with the Concierge team, oversee support activity and help ensure everything runs well in a calm, caring and human way.




Volunteer with us

Good Company is built on people who care. Our volunteers bring warmth, laughter and reassurance to clubs, offer steady one to one support, give lifts, help behind the scenes and make sure no one feels alone.

You do not need special skills or experience. If you are kind, curious and enjoy being around people, there is a place for you here.


We currently have volunteering opportunities including:

  • Hosts and Lead Hosts at Clubs and Circles

  • Welcome Mentors for new volunteers

  • Concierge Volunteers

  • Volunteer Companions

  • Drivers

  • Admin and Community Engagement support

  • Community Fundraising Volunteers


Most roles need just a few hours a month, and we provide friendly training, ongoing support and cover agreed expenses.


People often tell us they get as much from volunteering as the people they support.
