We’re continuing to make really good progress on Good Company HQ, thanks to the time, care and expertise of some brilliant people in our community.
Dan has been generously volunteering his time to help project manage the renovations and support the building work. Inside the space, Martin has been helping with the installation and positioning of lighting, which has already transformed how the HQ feels and helped bring the layout to life.
We have also been working closely with Building Control to make sure the space meets accessibility requirements. With support from Malcolm, one of our members, we are making a small adjustment to extend the toilet by 30cm so it fully meets regulations.
Once this is agreed, it will allow us to keep moving steadily towards opening the doors this March.
Next up, we will be installing the partition, with huge thanks to the team at Parker Building Supplies, who are supplying the materials at cost price. Support like this is making a real difference as the space takes shape.
There is still more to do to get Crowborough HQ ready to open, from finishing the building work to making sure the space is warm, accessible, and easy to use. If you would like to be part of this, you can support the crowdfunder or get in touch to offer practical help, materials, or skills - hello@thegoodcompanypeople.org
