Safety planning and preparations underway

This week marked another important step in preparing Crowborough HQ to open.

We invited East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service to visit the space and provide advice on fire safety. Their guidance is helping us make sure the HQ is safe, compliant, and ready to welcome people once the doors open.

Behind the scenes, there has also been a strong sense of momentum as we focus on the practical work needed over the coming weeks. With a clear aim of opening in March, we are coordinating building work, safety checks, and planning how the space will be used day to day.

Huge thanks go to Dan and Martin for their continued time, care, and energy in helping transform the building. Progress like this is what allows the HQ to move steadily from an empty space to a welcoming place for the community.

There is still more to do to get Crowborough HQ ready to open, from finishing the building work to making sure the space is warm, accessible, and easy to use. If you would like to be part of this, you can support the crowdfunder or get in touch to offer practical help, materials, or skills - hello@thegoodcompanypeople.org
