The Good Company People is delighted to be working in partnership with CooperBurnett LLP, who have chosen us as their charity partner for the next two years.
The partnership begins at an exciting time, as we open the doors to Good Company HQ in Crowborough and continue to grow our work supporting older people, carers and people living with dementia across East Sussex.

CooperBurnett recently welcomed our CEO, Lucy Buck, to their offices to share more about Good Company and the thinking behind it. The session was led by their Charity Committee and marked the start of what is already shaping up to be a thoughtful and engaged partnership.
This connection feels like a natural fit.
Both organisations meet people at important moments in their lives, often when things feel uncertain or overwhelming. Whether that is navigating legal decisions or adjusting to changes in later life, trust, clarity and kindness matter.
Lucy Buck, CEO of The Good Company People, said:
“We are thrilled to be working with CooperBurnett. There is a real alignment in how we think about supporting people. At Good Company, we meet people at a point where things can feel unclear or difficult, and we take the time to understand what matters to them and what might help. It feels like a partnership built on shared values, and we are excited about what we can build together over the next two years.”
The Good Company People was founded following Lucy’s experience of supporting her mother, Hazel, who was living with Parkinson’s Disease Dementia. That experience shaped a different approach, one that is more human, more connected and rooted in everyday life.
At the heart of Good Company is the Concierge model. When someone first connects, they are matched with a single point of contact who takes the time to understand their life, interests, needs and what brings them joy. From there, they are supported to find the right mix of activities, groups and connections, at their own pace.
Across a typical month, this might include shared meals, walking groups, games sessions, creative activities and smaller circles of support. Over the past year, more than 350 members have been supported, with over 4,500 hours of connection, more than 320 sessions delivered and 53 volunteers trained.
CooperBurnett’s Charity Committee member, Lisa Connolly, said:
“We were very grateful to Lucy for giving us such a passionate and engaging introduction to The Good Company People. We are now looking at ways to raise money for this incredible charity, as well as opportunities for our team to get involved more directly. It is a partnership we are really excited about.”
The partnership is already underway, with Iola, a trainee solicitor at CooperBurnett, taking on the Brighton and Hove 10k as the first fundraising event in April.
There is a shared ambition to build something meaningful over the next two years, through fundraising, volunteering and creating opportunities for connection between both organisations and the wider community.
