A Community Concert in Crowborough
Join us for an evening of live music in support of The Good Company People.
We are partnering with the West Kent Concert Band for a concert of music from stage and screen. The programme will include familiar film themes and popular musical favourites.
Whether you come to Good Company regularly or are visiting for the first time, you are very welcome.

About the evening
Join us for a special night of live music in support of The Good Company People.
We are delighted to be partnering with the West Kent Concert Band for an evening concert celebrating music from stage and screen. From much loved film themes to popular musical favourites.
This is a relaxed, welcoming community event. Whether you are a regular at Good Company clubs or coming along for the first time, you will be warmly received. We encourage friends, family and local supporters of all ages to join.
Why is this concert happening?
This concert came about through one of our own community members.
Miles, who plays in the band, has been connected with The Good Company People for several years. He and his wife have been part of the Good Company community and understand how important connection and companionship can be.
Miles suggested bringing the two worlds together. The band generously offered to perform in support of Good Company, creating an evening that celebrates music, friendship and community. We are incredibly grateful to him and to the band for making it happen.
About the band
The West Kent Concert Band was formed in 1998 by musicians from the Sevenoaks area who wanted to rehearse regularly and perform locally. Some of the original members are still playing today.
The band rehearses weekly and is led by their Conductor and Director of Music, Martin Forward. As a traditional concert band, members fund the group themselves through subscriptions and are supported by a volunteer committee.
Their repertoire includes favourite concert band pieces alongside exciting arrangements of music from stage and film, pop, jazz and seasonal classics. Performance programmes are tailored to each event, and many pieces are instantly recognisable.
Refreshments
Light refreshments will be available on the evening.
Ice creams will be provided by Eridge Dairy, alongside drinks including wine and soft drinks.
There will also be a small silent raffle with a limited number of high quality prizes. All proceeds will support The Good Company People’s work locally.
Transport Support
We understand that evening events can sometimes feel harder to attend.
If you are a Good Company member and you need help getting to the concert, please contact us after booking (hello@thegoodcompanypeople.org).
We will do our best to explore whether volunteer lift support may be possible or help you think through options. While we cannot guarantee transport, we are always happy to talk it through.
If you are able to offer a lift to someone else in the area, please let us know.
