Our People - Jennifer Mills, Comms and Marketing

Updated: Aug 25

Why did you join Good Company?

I joined The Good Company People because I wholeheartedly believe in their mission. I know from personal experience how well people can live with dementia if families and carers have the right support and understanding. The activities that The Good Company People run and the support offered to carers has the power to change lives, and i had to be part of it!

What does Good Company mean to you?

Good Company means that those that may otherwise be socially isolated can continue to be part of a community, which is a basic human need.

What is your professional background?

For the past 10 years I have been working in Marketing and Communications and have been lucky enough to have roles that involve building strong communities, raising awareness and celebrating success. Currently I do this for innovators and entrepreneurs at Imperial College London.

What are your hobbies and interests?

In my spare time I love crafting, walking and socialising with friends and family, usually with a glass of wine!

How would your friends describe you?

I hope they would describe me as caring, hard working, independent and good fun.

Can you share something interesting that not many people know about you?

I'm a northerner! I was born in Manchester, but moved to Crowborough, where my family are all from, when I was young.

What's your favourite cake?

Carrot cake... of course!!!
