Our People - Felicity Streatfeild, Co-Founder and Director of Services

Why did you join Good Company?

To change the world! No seriously, I know through personal experience that caring for someone living with dementia can feel like one long struggle. Carers are spending their time trying to get appointments and battling to get the right support. Wouldn't it be great if they could receive bespoke advice and support and find some joy and fun in their weekly routine? There was a problem that needed solving and developing The Good Company People with Lucy is my way of helping to change the status quo.

What is your professional background?

I worked in marketing and PR before spending 7 years at home with my young family. Having also volunteered for a number of years with a charity that provided tea parties for elderly people, I knew this was an area into which I would want to channel my experience when I returned to work.

What does Good Company mean to you?

Listening, providing genuine support and enjoying life together. Anyone who's in Good Company has a sense of belonging.

What are your hobbies and interests?

Anything on or in the water! Paddle boarding, swimming, sailing...

How would your friends describe you?

Honest (blunt!), funny and supportive.

Can you share something interesting that not many people know about you?

I came face to face with a silver back gorilla whilst up a volcano in Rwanda.

What's your favourite cake?

Anything with chocolate in it.
